Although our name would lead you to believe that you are going to see kitchen items at Gourmet Essentials, we have evolved far beyond this.  Since starting in a tiny 950 square foot space in 1991, we have transformed our store into 4000 square feet filled with all of the necessities and indulgences for every room of your home. 

We believe that cooking should have no borders nor should there be any rules! You are just as likely to find a family of 5 in Campbell River enjoying a home cooked meal of Pad Thai one night, pasta the next and traditional meatloaf with mashed potatoes (and gravy, of course) for Sunday.

That’s why we sell kitchenware like pasta makers and butter warmers along with salad spinners, stainless steel fish tweezers and electronic scales. In our store the pots and pans, woks, tableware and familiar cookware like graters and measuring cups are cheek by jowl with exotic kitchen gadgets like ceramic mortar & pestles, jumbo garlic presses, cream whippers (totally cool), mandolins and motion sensor hand soap dispensers.

The bathroom.  As defined in the dictionary, it is simply a room containing a bathtub or shower and often a washbasin and toilet.  Functional, stark, utilitarian.  Move past this definition and create a room which reminds you of your favourite spa.  Turkish or Egyptian bath towels, brushed stainless fixtures and elegant accessories can help transform your bathroom into a pleasant sanctuary.

Until you have upgraded your bedding to include a down duvet covered by an Egyptian cotton duvet cover and improved you pillows, you have not enjoyed the nights sleep that you deserve.  We carry bed linens that are simply stated, pure luxury!! 

Wine sipped out of a proper wine glass is so much more pleasurable than drinking it out of a rolled edge glass.  Similarly, dinner presented on dishes that you chose to match your tastes just seems to be a more savoury experience.  Our everyday dishes and stemware will have you wanting to rush home and get dinner going!
